Thank you to NHPPA for honoring me with the Photographer of the Year award. I am deeply grateful for this recognition and welcoming me into such an incredible photographic community.

Entering print competition is one of the most valuable investments a photographer can make in their artistic and professional growth. Competition is not about the awards; it is about challenging yourself to move beyond creating images that simply satisfy clients and instead craft images with intention, impact, and excellence.

The process encourages photographers to push creative boundaries and continually elevate the quality of their work. Perhaps most importantly, it inspires personal growth and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Every image entered is an opportunity to learn, grow, and become a stronger visual storyteller. I encourage every photographer, regardless of where they are in their journey, to step outside their comfort zone and enter. The lessons learned and the growth achieved are far more valuable than any score or award.
