Congratulations to Jill Kyle of Auburn, N.H. who recently received her Certified Professional Photographer credential. The CPP credential was started in 1977 as a way to identify professional photographers who have demonstrated technical competence through a written exam and photographic image submission. No matter the field, people take certifications very seriously. It’s a way of showing dedication and expertise. Becoming a CPP lets potential clients know that you take your craft – and their needs – seriously.
Here is what Jill had to say about the experience, "What a journey this has been! In December 2017, I set my sights on earning the credentials of being a Certified Professional Photographer with the Professional Photographers of America. At first I thought the test and image submission would be easy, but I got to tell you, I've never taken a more challenging process than this one. When I started, many professionals who have gone through the process said, 'this certification will change you.' And I must admit yes it has. I look back at my work from two years ago and can see how much the quality of my work and attention to detail has improved."
